About this hotel
Fourteen minutes by taxi from Esenboğa Airport, Anadolu Otel Esenboğa Termal is the rare property on this list that pairs genuine proximity with leisure facilities: a pool, hot tub, spa and fitness centre, all inside a five-star building with its own airport shuttle. The name points to a thermal-spa concept, backed by the pool and hot tub tags rather than any specific spring temperature or treatment list, so travellers curious about specifics should confirm directly with the hotel. Kitchen access in some rooms suits a stay longer than a single overnight, and free breakfast plus free parking round out a property built for both short layovers and longer stopovers. Public transport to the terminal runs considerably longer, over an hour, making the shuttle or a taxi the practical choice.
- 14-minute airport transfer
- Pool, hot tub and spa
- Airport shuttle
- Kitchen in select rooms
Our take
This suits travellers extending a stopover into a day or two who still want a short run to Esenboğa rather than a trip into central Ankara. The spa and pool make it a rare pick for relaxation this close to an airport. Anyone on a same-night turnaround with no time to use the facilities would get better value from a plainer, cheaper hotel nearby.
- Book the airport shuttle instead of public transport, the transit option runs over an hour compared to a 14-minute taxi.
- Ask about kitchen-equipped rooms specifically when booking if staying more than one night, availability is limited to select rooms only.
- Confirm spa and thermal pool hours directly with the hotel before arrival, facility schedules vary and aren't always listed online.
Why we love it
- A pool, hot tub and spa 14 minutes from the terminal
- Kitchen access in some rooms for longer stays
- A five-star rating with an airport shuttle included
- Free breakfast and free parking bundled in
Why guests love itTravellers extending a layover into a full stopover point to the pool and hot tub at Anadolu Otel Esenboğa Termal as facilities they didn't expect to find this close to Esenboğa, just fourteen minutes out by taxi. Rooms with kitchen access get singled out by anyone staying more than a night, useful for cooking rather than relying on the hotel restaurant for every meal. The public transport link to the terminal is the one weak point noted, since it runs well over an hour compared to the quick taxi ride.
